Maharashtra State Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Education Board

• The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education was established in 1966 by an act of the Maharashtra State Government whcih was amended in 1977 and the nomenclature of the Board was changed to "The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education".

Pattern of exam :

The Board provides recognition/affiliation to schools/junior colleges and conducts examination at Class X and XII level.

     Secondary level course curriculum :-

a>Core Subjects : Mother tongue, National language and English

b>External Assessment : Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences

c>Optional Subjects : Physical and Health Education, Work Experience

d>Other subjects : Value Education and General Knowledge
